Peer Assistance and Leadership Program

Jul 15, 2015

DYOPATH supported the “PAL” Peer Assistance and Leadership program®, in which high school seniors mentor at risk youth at area middle schools. PAL is an award-winning, Nationally Recognized Evidence-Based Prevention Program owned and operated by the non-profit organization, Workers Assistance Program, Inc. (WAP). The mission of the PAL® Peer Assistance and Leadership program is to enable young people to use their potential to make a difference in their lives, schools and communities. Every year, each PAL group selects a fundraiser for a worthy cause. DYOPATH sponsored the Cyprus Ranch High School group, which has raised money for a young girl named Sidney suffering from cerebral palsy. Sidney’s cerebral palsy resulted in sight and hearing lost, and her family requested help in purchasing a trained, special needs dog to assist her in day-to-day activities. We hope that Sidney will be aided greatly by the support of the Cyprus Ranch High School PAL group and thank them for asking us to be a part of this cause.
