DYOPATH Cares Year-In-Review 2022
In 2022, DYOPATH continued to put action behind our firm commitment to social responsibility. Our goal for DYOPATH Cares was to focus 70% – 75% of our monetary donations to a few key causes supporting veterans, children, and abused women’s charities, with the remaining 25% – 30% dedicated to charities championed by DYOPATH employees and clients. Aligned with our goal and backed by our culture and core values, DYOPATH’S charitable donations totaled more than $40,000 in 2022.
Here are just a few of the causes we supported in the past year:
The Betsy Awards | On April 4th,2022, DYOPATH sponsored the Betsy Children awards, hosted by Connections for Children. Connections for Children is a non-profit Child Care Resource and Referral agency serving childcare providers, educators, and parents in the West Los Angeles and South Bay communities. Connections for Children assists parents and childcare professionals seeking information, referrals, and education. They are a strong voice in support of quality childcare and early education.
Emerging Grace For Children | On May 31st,2022, DYOPATH recently donated to Emerging Grace for Children. Emerging Grace for Children is dedicated to helping children who have been sex trafficked and works to help them restore their hope and renew their spirit.
Wounded Warriors | On May 31st, 2022, DYOPATH donated to the Wounded Warrior Project for veterans. The Wounded Warrior Project provides simple care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of the first wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, their services have evolved to accommodate harsher injuries.
School District 272 | On June 13, 2022, DYOPATH donated $1,500 to school district 272. Amboy Community Unit School District No. 272 is a public school district located in AMBOY, IL. It has 723 students in grades PK, and K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1.
Wings For Life Cord Club | On September 8th, 2022, DYOPATH sponsored the Wings for Life Gala by participating in their silent auction. Wings for Life is a research group that performs research on healing critical spinal cord injuries by performing basic and clinical research. Wings for Life also performs clinical studies and therapies to understand how well the new drugs and therapies can be tolerated and how effective they are in humans with spinal cord injuries.
El Paso Center For Diabetes | On September 9th, 2022, DYOPATH sponsored a table at the “Step Into The Blue” El Paso Center for Diabetes Gala. The El Paso Center for Diabetes is an organization dedicated to educating and empowering their community to achieve a healthy life throughout their diabetes journey. The El Paso Center for Diabetes plays a vital role in preventing many complications that come from diabetes. Their educators help those with diabetes manage their disease through a healthier lifestyle and careful self-monitoring. Their main goal is to help you to help yourself.
Ronald McDonald House Charities | In October, DYOPATH sponsored the Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Classic and auction. The Ronald McDonald House helps keep millions of children and families close to the critical care they need – and to each other. Their programs are designed with the community in mind as they provide essential care like places of respite for parents, space for children to be children, and communities of support for all family members dealing with a child’s medical crisis.
Casa For Kids | On October 4th, 2022, DYOPATH sponsored the Casa for Kids Walk of Fame. Casa for Kids helps abused or neglected children who have entered the foster care system have their voices heard and advocate for the best interest of the child when no one else would. Casa For Kids has trained community volunteers to become speakers for these children and act as wards for them.
Best Buddies | On November 5th, 2022, DYOPATH hosted a table at the Best Buddies Charity Gala. Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy, communication skills, and feel valued by society.
Blue Star Moms | On December 13th,2022, DYOPATH supported the Blue Star Moms charity by participating in their activities of writing Christmas Cards for soldiers currently stationed overseas. Blue Stars Moms are moms joining together to share their pride, devotion, and worries for their sons and daughters currently serving in all branches of the Armed Forces of the United States and their sons and daughters who are now veterans. They first came together shortly after the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001 and are an official chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America, a group who formed during World War II.
Feed My Starving Children | On December 15th,2022, DYOPATH hand-packed rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which were then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to Feed My Starving Childrens (FMSC) partners who work hard to reach the neediest children around the world. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive and develop to their full potential.
